We’re not waiting till the end of the month here at Project iPhone Haitian relief. I have just received word that the first of what should be many donations has gone through. The folks at Medecins Sans Frontieres, AKA Doctors Without Borders were very pleased with their donation and thanked all the iPhone developers that help make it possible.

Jonathan has agreed to match Andrew Stone’s generosity and donate profits for the next two weeks to Project iPhone Haitian Relief!

Andrew Stone of Twittelator fame joins up!

“We have all heard how desperate the situation in Haiti is, and how it’s the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere.” said Stone Design CEO Andrew Stone, @twittelator. “But what goes unsaid is how its fantastically rich culture has had such a profound effect on the United States and the rest of the world. Haiti has almost no resources, but scraped together what they could to help when Katrina hit. My father lived half his life in New Orleans, and so much of what we love about the Big Easy, whether it be jazz, voodoo or soul food, has its roots in Haitian traditions.”
